The winner of the Henri Winkelman award for creative entrepreneurship in 2013, Jonathan Christopher is a menswear designer who experiments with the juxtaposition of masculine and feminine, light and dark, soft and harsh.
In his F/W 2014-15 collection “Caelum et Infernum” fragility and strength are referenced using delicate drapings in fabrics with a subtle shine like silk, and structured tailoring with harder fabrics like rugged wool and fur. He used celebrity models, all famous Dutch actors and presenters, to show his sharp and futuristic creations. Neutral colours like black, blue, white and grey for tailored menswear and oversized sportswear with biker details. Bravo!
