It was so nice meeting these friendly Japanese women just before the Starbucks in Amsterdam. When I was about to exit the building I immediately spotted this Japanese woman a quickly took a shot (see below). I decided to go after them and ask her for a quick shoot, because I just wanted to capture the whole look the way it deserved to be shot (see above). Besides the shooting it was nice to use this opportunity to speak some Japanese, which went quite well (haven’t used it the last 3 years).

They were quite surprised to hear me speaking Japanese, so they immediately had whole conversations with me in Japanese and of course that wasn’t working for me …knowing only a few sentences. Luckily one of them lived here and spoke English so in the end we had a nice conversation about both Amsterdam and Tokyo.
