MBFW: READY TO FISH BY ILJA
Ilja Visser is a Dutch womenswear fashion designer who studied Fashion Design at the ArtEZ Institute of Arts in Arnhem. She acquired the fine skills of tailoring during her apprenticeships with Donna Karan in New York and Maria Cornejo.
In 2005, Ilja founded her own couture label “ILJA” and by 2006 the ready-to-wear line “Ready to fish by ILJA”: a total concept of fashion, furniture, scents and music. For “Terrace”, her A/W 2014-15 collection, Ilja took inspiration from architerture, domestic environment and nature. She enjoys mixing fabrics and textures to create outerwear garments with an indoor softness.

Always nice to see Ricardo again …this time with a nice look. He combined a sporty vest with a chic fur coat which immediately caught my eye.

AFW Street style: Reversed collar coat
These are the kinds I really like …an asymmetrical coat that you were in draped style. And ‘reversed collar’ makes it even more interesting. The whole look could have been better it she had worn more suitable/ matching pants and heels, in my honest opinion. Still a nice look though.
AFW Street style: Fashionchick Amanda
Always great seeing my friend Amanda again …she’s one of the few people who really like to dress up to the max and steel the show. This shot was taken before the show started with just enough daylight to capture the colors.
